Q. What are yout goals for this year's X games?

A. To go into it like I do every year, with my head up and smile on. And just show the fans all the new tricks I've been working on, and all the new, cool things that skateboarding has to offer.

Q. What new tricks can fans expect?

A. I've definitely widened my range of switch tricks and nollie tricks, (theg lack of) whitch have hurt me in the past. I've also got a few tricks that I've come up with that are pretty cool that I'm not really going to tell you guys. You're going to have to see them when we're there.

Q. How do you prepare for contests?

A. I have a personal trainer, and I ride on a road bike every day for five to 10 miles and swim every day. I'm working on getting my cardio up so I'm not tired when it comes down to that last, five- minute jam session. I'm going to be the one that feels like we just started the competition.

Q. How hasworking out helped your skateboarding?

A. It's made me stonger. I can take harder falls now because my body is built to take that impact and get right back on the board. It's not about getting big. It's about staying fit and flexible.
